This is a very famous poem that most students of the Chinese language would have learnt in their childhood.
The Tang poet Meng Haoran (孟浩然) drew inspiration from spring time, when he could laze and wake up late, oblivious of the chirping birds. When night fell and it rained, he wondered how many flowers have fallen from the branches.
Mr Lim uses distinctly heavy, cursive strokes for the entire artwork, to reflect the vitality of Spring and the freshness of the start of a new year.
